"London man fined for having caught too many fish on Manitoulin Island
A London-area man has been fined $1,125 for having an over limit of smallmouth bass in his possession on Manitoulin Island.
Slavko Krmpotic, 71, was convicted of having 18 smallmouth bass over the total legal possession limit of six bass, the Ministry of Natural Resources said in a release.
The court heard that on Oct. 18, 2008, a conservation officer was conducting angler checks on Highway 6 near South Baymouth on Manitoulin Island, when Krmpotic's vehicle was stopped and inspected.
An investigation ensued resulting in the officer locating a total of 24 smallmouth bass."
